Mia Rose - Australian Exercise Physiologist of the Year

Each year Exercise Sports Science Australia (ESSA) awards Australia’s rising talent by identifying and recognising the future leaders of the health and fitness industry. This year amongst the mass of confident and capable exercise physiologists there was a quiet, placid and ever smiling rose – Mia Rose.  Mia graduated from the University of Sydney with honours in Exercise Physiology following the attainment of a Bachelor of Science Health and Exercise Science degree.  Following her graduation Mia completed an internship with the United Nations World Health Organisation in Geneva in 2011 and she continues to expand her expertise by studying for a Masters in International Public Health. 
Mia was recognised by ESSA for her commitment to professional excellence, exceptional service provision to patients and the community and we at Victoria Park Pool in Sydney are proud to have Mia as a Gym Supervisor. Mia leads the GOLD program (Growing Old Living Dangerously and innovative MEND (Mind Exercise Nutrition and Do It!) program which educates overweight children and their parents, guiding them towards positive exercise and lifestyle choices within the Fitness Centre.
