New Development Update
09-06-2010
Belgravia Leisure is currently involved in the development and commissioning of three new leisure venues across three states. In South Australia construction is continuing with the new Barossa Aquatic and Fitness Centre (Barossa Council). Located on the site of the existing facility the new Centre will include indoor aquatic facilities, health club and sports stadium. The Centre is due to open in December this year with Belgravia Leisure commencing our pre-open marketing and sales campaign in September.
In Victoria construction at the Thomastown Recreation and Aquatic Centre (City of Whittlesea) is well progressed. Boasting industry leading design features TRAC includes aquatic facilities, a health club and indoor sports hall. Recruitment has commenced for this exciting new development and initial marketing and sales strategies are underway.
Finally in New South Wales, the redeveloped Annette Kellerman Aquatic Centre (Marrickville Council) is also nearing completion. Due to open to the public in November the Centre comprises indoor 50m pool, program and leisure pools as well as a unique community Wellness Centre. While planning is already underway Belgravia Leisure will commence pre-open operations and marketing from July.
Each of these venues represents flagship leisure destinations and substantial investments for the respective Councils. Destined to be major community hubs each will provide social, health and commercial benefit for many years to come. Belgravia Leisure is delighted to be involved in commissioning and operating each of these major facilities.
New Business Update
In addition to the new Centre contracts previously reported 2010 is also a very important year for contract extension and option renewal across the Belgravia Leisure network.
Since our last newsletter and in an active demonstration of the strong partnerships we build with our clients Belgravia Leisure is delighted to report contract extensions with the Liverpool City Council (Whitlam Leisure Centre and Wenden Leisure Centre), the City of Whittlesea (Whittlesea Swim Centre) and the ACT Government (Lakeside Leisure Centre and Canberra Olympic Pool).
We expect more news in coming weeks regarding contract extensions and tender wins so stay tuned.
